A staple for me and my friends. You can walk all the way to the back and get personal booths with curtains for privacy. Amazing food consistently, usually here every month.
THIS WAS THE BEST FOOD I'VE EVER EATEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I can't believe it. Everything was incredible. The lamb stew, the fattoush, the HUMMUS!? EVEN THE HUMMUS WAS LITERALLY THE BEST HUMMUS I'VE EVER TRIED EVER!!!!! We got the chicken shawarma w hummus... just amazing. Maybe I'm just naive but literally the fattoush was the best salad I've ever eaten. Anyway. Ugh I wish I didn't live so far away but you best believe next time I'm anywhere near the area, THAT'S where I'm going. Best food!!!!!!
One of the best Yemeni food in the US. Worth it to visit Michigan and try the food. Must try their Lamb Haneeth and any lamb items. Love their Family Platter.
Eye absolutely Loveeeeeeeeeee this place. The service has always been exceptional, they are so kind and my favorite part, they remember me lol. They know exactly what eye want and eye love that. The Yeman bread with the honey butter, foul and house salad is my go too, every time.
If you’re looking for authentic Yemeni food in Hamtramck, Michigan, this is one of the best places you can visit. The food is full of authentic flavor, and every dish we tried was outstanding. Their qalabah is a must-try, and I also loved that they serve a variety of traditional fresh breads to complement the meal. We visited for both breakfast and dinner, and everything was exceptional. The quality, taste, and generous portions exceeded our expectations. Whenever I visit Michigan, this restaurant will always be one of my first stops. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true taste of Yemen.
I used to come here all the time when I worked in Hamtramck at the GM plant. Extremely nice people running the joint, always friendly and in a good mood. I liked to order the chicken shawarma sandwich. Really good, very flavorful, nice crunch from the pickles. The garlic sauce is also very good, you can put it on nearly everything here and it really enhances it. Love to enjoy a shawarma sandwich with lamb soup and Yemeni tea on a cold Michigan winter's day. Or late at night after having one too many drinks around town. Good memories here.
Nice place for experiencing Yemeni cuisine. The food was extremely savory, flavourful and yammy, specially the beef gallaba. Also, had the khatla dessert. It's similar to peanut halwa, so creamy and nutty.. And the ambiance is nice and clean. The staff are very polite. Only complaint is that, the food took a long time to be prepared, but when it came it seemed worth the wait!
Food was delicious, we started with a Fahsa(lamb in a skillet) that comes with really nice freshly baked bread. Also had a combo plate of rice with lamb and chicken, and another fahsa, was very nice. Great service. Would recommend.

Just tried Yemen Cafe in Hamtramck and wow… this place is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely incredible—fresh, flavorful, and cooked with real care. The lamb was super tender, the rice perfectly seasoned, and the bread came out warm and fresh. You can really taste the authenticity in every bite. The portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is welcoming and laid-back. Staff was friendly and made sure everything was on point. If you’re in the area and want real, authentic Yemeni food, this spot is a must. Definitely coming back agai
